The restoration of the parsonage of Breganze was divided into two moments: first the renovation phase, aimed to preserve, where possible, existing elements. Then we passed to a purely architectural one, which focused on the distributional and organizational requirements given by “Vita Indipendente”, the new society that will be hosted in the building..
During the first phase we provided a structural consolidation with the maximum respect for the vertical and horizontal warp.
The request for public areas -of collective interest- addressed the design project toward the creation of specific spaces for social assistance and recreational activities.
The new distribution has required the renovation of the staircase and the installation of an elevator in order to eliminate any architectural barriers. These interventions have been proposed paying close attention to the preservation of the original typological system and to the existing volumes.
